What version of After Effects do I need? +
After Effects CC 2020 (version 17.0) or newer. Tested on AE 2023 and AE 2025.
Does it work on Mac? +
KHAOS for Premiere Pro works on both Mac and Windows. KHAOS Engine for After Effects is currently Windows only - the custom C++ plugins require platform-specific builds and Mac support is coming as a free update.
Does it work on vertical (9:16) comps? +
Yes. Every transition, overlay, and text animation works on both 16:9 and 9:16. Built for Reels, TikTok, and widescreen.
Can I use it for commercial work? +
